This dancer is standing at the summit of a pyramid,
apparently twirling because his robe is splayed in either direction from
his hips.
His face has been scratched off, as many faces in room 3 have.
There are at least ten of these dancers depicted in room 3.
While this individual stood at the top of a pyramid,
others were placed along lower terraces of the structure.
Since this probably depicts an actual celebration,
one can easily imagine the beautiful scene of colorful dancers
dancing all over a magnificantly painted Maya pyramid with the rulers looking
on.
